Editorial Policy

A website with over sixteen hundred published articles needs clear rules, otherwise it becomes a patchwork quilt. This page describes how we choose topics, how we write, how we correct errors, and where editorial content ends and advertising begins.

What we decided to publish

Our content comes from three sources: questions that arrive through our contact page, recurring questions from those seeking a specific verse or topic, and gaps we identify in our own coverage—a Bible book without commentary, a financial topic only half-explained. We don't publish content just because it's trending: if we can't add anything useful, we let it go.

How each text is prepared

  • Reading the sources — Biblical text in a public domain translation, historical bibliography, official websites of institutions and regulatory bodies when the topic is money or work.
  • Written in clear Portuguese — short phrase, jargon explained on its first appearance, and a concrete example whenever the explanation becomes abstract.
  • Checking — names, dates, chapters, verses, numbers, and values checked against the source before publication.
  • Language revision — spelling, grammar, and punctuation, corrected by someone other than the author.
  • Link conference — Every external address is opened before the text goes live; a dead link is not included.

Biblical interpretation: our stance

We work with the text first. When we comment on a chapter, we make explicit what the passage says, what the historical context was, and where the interpretive reading begins. Where there is divergence between Christian traditions, we present the main readings instead of choosing one as the only one. We do not make apologetic arguments against other religions and we do not use the site for doctrinal disputes.

Use of support tools

Digital tools help us with mechanical tasks — organizing references, suggesting structure, finding repetition. No text is published without a person reading it, verifying the facts, and signing off on the result. Editorial responsibility is always human.

Separation between content and advertising

  • Advertiser doesn't choose the agendaThey don't proofread text before publication and there's no channel to request content changes.
  • Advertising spaces are visually distinct from editorial text.
  • When a link contains a commercial relationship, this is indicated in the text itself.
  • The ad displayed here is not an endorsement from us. Details at [link/website address]. Disclaimer.

Corrections

The error pointed out is the error corrected. If you find incorrect data, a swapped verse, an outdated value, or a broken link, please write to us via the contact page indicating the text's address. Relevant corrections are made in the body of the article; when they alter the meaning of what was published, we record the change at the end of the page.

Updating old texts

Content about credit, fees, and selection processes becomes outdated quickly. We periodically review the most accessed texts in these areas and adjust numbers and rules. Bible studies are revised when we notice contextual or translation errors.
